Killer Clown (Mason's Concept)

I drew this for my step son last night. Mason likes to draw his own "guys" as he calls them. I wanted to try out a new coloring technique that my buddy Matt Szidlik showed me, so this was a win win situation. Spend some time with the step son and do something fun and work on learning something new all at the same time....oh yeah, having fun was part of the equation as well! Peace-NickZ.

Lucid Earth Book 01 Preview

Well I have been working on my own comic book for a few months now. I have learned quite a bit lately, I'm learning how to thumbnail pages out, build rough pages, digital inking and digital coloring, setting up word balloons and lettering. It is a lot of work making your own book, but it sure is a lot of fun!

These pages were all made digitally with Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom Cintiq 21UX!

I hope you all enjoy these pages as much as I did making them!

Peace-NickZ. :)

Comic Book Back Cover (Lucid Earth)

This is going to be the back cover to my comic book! I have a test print on its way for the first 8 pages to make sure that I am doing everything correctly. I'm going to be using Lulu.com for the first book! Wish me luck!

Comic Book Digital Ink Brushes V2 (Photoshop)

I have been adding brushes to the list for doing digital sketching and inking in Photoshop. These are saved out as tool presets. There are more than brushes but I will leave that up to you to figure everything out. Hint, if you are doing color flats then use the Pencil tool instead of the brush tool. If you are selecting your pencil flats, I made a special magic wand tool for correct selection as well. You may use these brushes for anything you wish, commercial or non commercial. Just tell your friends if you find them useful!
